1/Negroni Spagliato
1 oz sweet vermouth
1 oz campari
~4 oz prosecco
1 orange twist
Add the vermouth and campari to a large wine glass. Add ice and top with the prosecco. Garnish with an orange twist. Makes 1 spag.
2/Picso Inferno
2 oz whiskey
1 oz amaro, like Nardini, CioCiara or Averna
½ oz pisco
1 orange twist
Add the whiskey, amaro and pisco to a glass filled with ice and stir. Strain into a glass with one large ice cube and garnish with the orange twist. Makes 1 inferno.
3/Lemoncello
10 lemons
1 (750 ml) bottle vodka
~ 2 cups simple syrup (1:1 sugar to water ratio)
Wash the lemons and remove the peels with a peeler. Use a knife to remove any excess pith off of the peels. Put the lemon peels into a quart sized container and pour the vodka over them. Cover and let it steep at room temperature for one week. Add the simple syrup. Start by adding half, then add more as needed, to taste, up to 2 cups. Makes ~ 1 liter of limoncello.
